Our week long stay with Karoo Wild Safaris met all our expectations and more for our first African experience. Every aspect of our stay was amazing from the animals to the food. A week with Victor is more than just a hunt, it is a true learning experience. Victor understands and clearly explain everything from the terrain to the various plants and animals as well as the history and culture. Every day we were excited to get up, explore, hunt and learn something new.
The lodge is spectacular and the service is unsurpassed. It was a week of pure peace and relaxation. When we weren’t hunting we lounged by the pool, had drinks at the bar, took naps and appreciated the beauty of our surroundings.
Victor and Lindsay, along with their staff (Amy, Mitchell and Francis) run a first class operation. The attention to detail was amazing and we wanted for nothing the entire week. The food was beyond believable, in fact we brought a few recipes home for our friends and family to try.
We hunted numerous properties and got every trophy we had on our list plus a few extra. Victor and Mitchell patiently helped Lori get her first animal, a blesbuck, that will forever be a story to remember. Vcitor and his tracker, Mitchell were top of the line true professionals. Our hunts were challenging and really exciting, every day you felt like you accomplished something amazing.
There are not enough words to describe our Karoo experience. It was just so special we decided it would be the perfect place to return and spend our honeymoon.
