Karoo Wild Safaris is owner run and actively managed by Victor and Lindsay Watson. Victor is a 5th generation Karoo settler and landowner and has a passion for Africa, its animals, plants and history. Victor qualified as a professional hunter at the age of 21 years and after a short stint of studying and working abroad, has been actively guiding hunts for 18 years. Lindsay is also of Karoo settler stock and has a background in public relations and hospitality. She runs the daily operations at Karoo Wild Lodge.
Our team at Karoo Wild Safaris is a special one. Husband-and-wife duo, Mitchell and Francis have been serving Karoo Wild for over 10 years. Mitchell is Victor’s head tracker and an integral part of their Africa hunting success. Francis assists Lindsay in the daily running of the lodge and together they prepare cuisine to the highest international standards.
Spanning some 260,000 acres, our privately owned hunting properties and concessions in South Africa have a tremendous variety of terrain teeming with animals – plains game and dangerous game. We also run dangerous game hunts in Zambia and Zimbabwe, lands which offer incredible hunting opportunities. A hunt with us is a personable affair. Each African hunting safari is an event for us, a special moment we share with you in Africa.
