Hunting at Karoo Wild Safaris is first rate. It is walk and stalk at its best. Some of the stalks can be demanding because of the terrain and a level of fitness is required. However, this adds to the experience and every animal taken is certainly earned. Victor is an excellent guide, very calm and skillful. Together with tracker, Mitchell, they make a great team.
We spent two weeks at Haaspoort Lodge. It is nestled within stunning terrain surrounded by hills and mountains. Our hosts, Victor and Lindsay were friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were excellent and worthy of their four star rating. Our accommodation was a large thatched chalet. Our comfy bed faced a full length patio window from which we viewed stunning sunrises and sunsets. We visited Addo Elephant Park and Graaff Reinet but for the rest of the time were content staying in camp. We cannot rate them highly enough and wouldn’t have changed a thing.
