Mike and Irma from Wisconsin, USA hunted with Karoo Wild Safaris on their first African hunting safari. Guiding first time Africa hunters is always special for me and this time was no different. Mike and Irma were curious to learn about everything African and it was a pleasure sharing my limited knowledge with the.

Mike shot with my CZ 7x64 and he had a terrific hunt. Our area can test a hunter's shooting and stalking skills but Mike took to it like a duck to water, barely missing a shot throughout his safari. By the end of the hunt he was spotting game before the trackers. We hunted a number of remarkable trophies, the least expected was the warthog, which was high up on Mike's list but an old warthog boar evaded us until dusk on the last day when we spotted him bedding down in a riverbed close to camp.
