Couple's Hunting Safari in South Africa

Chris and Karmen explore and hunt the best of South Africa

South African Hunt

Chris and Karmen from Salt Lake City hunted South Africa with us on their 30th wedding anniversary. They chose us based on the prolific plains game hunting opportunities in our area and our access to some of Africa's most scenic coastal areas. A perfect couple's hunting and vacation experience.

Chris's hunt started literally started with a bang. He had a large variety of species he wished to hunt and with some careful stalking, the opportunities certainly presented themselves. Over the course of the first few days we were successful on sable, nyala, blesbok and the ever elusive kudu.

On the fourth day we moved to a concession we hunt further north in the Karoo grasslands. Based out our lodge there, our good fortune continued with Chris bagging a red hartebeest, gemsbok, burchells zebra and blue wildebeest in this area. We enjoyed the different hunting opportunities, diversity and large variety of plains game species both areas provided.

Returning to Karoo Wild Lodge for a further two days, we got Chris onto a beautiful impala ram. With some hunting time on our hands, we decided to introduce Karmen to hunting. She'd never hunted or shot a rilfe before but in no time she had shot 3 management springbok. She's a natural hunter.

We journeyed to the coast and spent 2 nights in Plettenberg Bay. Chris and Karmen did some shopping, walked on the beach,  canyoned, abseiled and waded down the Salt River gorge with AfriCanyon. They convinced me to conquer my fear of heights and I joined them on the Knysna Zipline tour, a series of 6 ziplines across a wide canyon leading into the Indian Ocean.

Thanks for trusting us with your special anniversary trip We loved showing you our part of Africa!
