About the Honey Badger
Honey Badgers range throughout South Africa but occur in greater density in the bushveld of Limpopo and Mpumulanga. They are mostly solitary but sometimes hunt in pairs in the meeting season. They are omnivores.
Judging a Trophy Honey Badger
Males are much bigger and more muscular than the females and far more audacious in their behaviour. They will fight other animals off a bait site.
Honey Badger Hunting Tips
Honey Badgers come in readily for bait and will often feed late at night for long periods. Bait well in advance of your hunt and you will put them on a schedule. Hunting honey badger is an exercise in preparation. The longer the bait is out the more punctual they will be in their feeding habits.
