Hunting in Namibia

Namibia is a dangerous game hunting paradise

The highlands of central Namibia consistently produce some of the best leopard in Africa as well as plains game endemic to Namibia such as Damara dik dik and Hartmanns mountain zebra. Our concessions along the Kavango River floodplains teem with hippo, crocodile, buffalo and elephant. The Chobe area of Botswana, just south of the Caprivi Strip offers some of the best elephant hunting in Africa. Ivory in excess of 55 pounds a side is often hunted in this area.

Getting there:

After arriving at Johannesburg International Airport, where Karoo Wild Safaris will meet you, catch a regional flight to Kasane in Botswana. From there, camp is an easy 3 hour drive into the Namibian Caprivi Strip or a 2 hour drive south to our elephant hunting concession near Chobe National Park.

To access central Namibia, take an international flight to Windhoek International Airport where it’s a 4-hour land transfer to camp.
